On Exhibit in Oklahoma – Destination Unknown

Somehow I forgot to make a post for the exhibit of this painting. Destination Unknown is my painting of a red-tailed hawk taking off from a weathered fence post. All of the pigments are light fast and of Ozark origin. The schedule of locations and dates are below.

“Destination Unknown”, in Ozark earth pigments. The model was a photo by Mike TR Dunn, used by permission. Media is handmade watercolors using real earth pigments on Fabriano 300# and is 16" x 20". The Red-tailed hawk is one of the birds in my ongoing Ozark Birds of Prey project.

The Exhibit Schedule

Right now it’s between galleries/museums. Next stop isn’t until January 14 when it heads on over to The Museum of the Red River in Idabel, OK. I hope to be able to catch up with it there and get a look at it hanging on a museum wall for a little while 🙂

AT THE NESBITT GALLERY, CHICKASHA, OK | 9.21.19 – 10.18.19

AT THE MUSEUM OF THE RED RIVER, IDABEL, OK | 1.14.20 – 3.1.20

AT THE GODDARD CENTER, ARDMORE, OK | 5.5.20 – 5.23.20

On exhibit in Oklahoma until May 2020. Destination Unknown, in Ozark pigments. Handmade watercolor painting by Madison Woods.

Purchase

It is for sale and can be purchased at any of the venues. Price is $1200. I’m not sure if it can be taken at the time of purchase or whether it will have to be left to hang for the duration of the tour. The museum/gallery curator should know, though.
