Hi, I’m Madison Woods, an artist living rural in Kingston, Arkansas. My paintings are literally nature art, from the ground up. My art practice is a partnership with the land. All pigments aside from white and blue are locally foraged, and all of my paints are handmade here at Wild Ozark.

Where to see my nature art?
I don’t have a studio at this time, or a gallery. I’m happy to bring works out to NWA, if you’d like to see it in person before deciding whether to purchase.
The other way to see my available original art in person is to attend one of the events I have scheduled. I keep track of where and when I’ll be out with art on my Exhibits page.

Madison Woods is the pen-name for my creative works. I’m a self-taught artist who moved to the Ozarks from south Louisiana in 2005. My paintings of Ozark-inspired scenes feature lightfast pigments from Madison county, Arkansas. My inspiration is nature – the beauty, and the inherent cycle of life and death, destruction, regeneration, and transformation.
Roxann Riedel is my real name. I’m also salesperson for Montgomery Whiteley Realty, artist, owner of the only ginseng nursery in Arkansas, and the author of books and this website.
